Co-op meeting with the Club
The Supporters’ Co-Operative raised the following points at our latest meeting with the club.
In attendance - Gavin Bailey (COO), Steve Bellis (Club President), Dave Marchbank, John Bilsbury, Cath Shanley, Paul Thompson, John Giles.
The Danny Bergara statue was not illuminated over the winter. It appears the cabling was disrupted during the recent building work and this would be resolved.
It was agreed that tickets for Wrexham away would be sold in tiers as demand would outstrip supply.
This was continued for Wycombe away and it’s hoped the same will happen for the playoffs.
The club have promised to report back on the signing of the lease of Edgeley Park.
The club agreed that away tickets could be collected up to kick-off on match days on a trial basis and
will consider making it permanent.
Some supporters have complained about the timing of away ticket sales which have caused problems with postage and planning travel arrangements. The club advised that the away club controls both the allocation and the release timing.
Stadium expansion: The club are working towards planning consent and will update the fans in due course.
We asked if indicators could be added to the Courtyard toilets to show if they were vacant or occupied.
The club have identified the efficiency of the half-time drink service as an area for improvement.
The results of the Loyalty Scheme Fan Survey are with the club for review.
Without the “Grassy Knoll,” the Co-Op is unable to have a presence at the ground before games. The club agreed to meet and look at options.
Long queues were experienced when the whole Together Stand was allocated to home supporters. New procedures have been implemented to improve matters.
When away fans are in the Together Stand, their proximity to the home support can be intimidating. Options are being explored to improve matters and any announcements will be coordinated with broader stadium expansion communication.
The Co-op board are looking to arrange another meeting with the Club shortly, to get updates on the lease on Edgeley Park, stadium development, ticket pricing for next season and finance deals so season tickets can be paid in installments.
