Welcome toStockport County Supporters’ Co-operative
As the largest Stockport County supporters group we ensure the views of County supporters are heard and known to the Club.
We meet with the club two to three times a season to ask questions and present concerns. Our work includes campaigning for affordable ticket prices, helping supporters who are struggling financially and supporting local groups and charities.
In 2024, we partnered with Help the Hatters to honour the legacy of Danny Bergara and working with award-winning sculptor Hannah Stewart commissioned a bronze statue that now stands proudly outside Edgeley Park.
There’s a popular trope among certain local Manchester City fans that the only reason County still exists as a club is that they turned up in force at Edgeley Park on Friday nights in the Go Go Go County era.
Occasionally you come across a person who is “larger than life” and Danny Bergara was definitely one of those people.
“The Man from Uruguay”, as he has become affectionately known, was a man whose warmth and talent transformed Stockport County’s performances on the field of play beyond recognition in the 1990s.
In the two decades prior to his arrival at Edgeley Park in 1989, The Hatters had never won more games than they had lost, never scored more goals than they conceded, and never finished above 11th position in the basement division.
