Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operative support Walthew House
The Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operative is proud to offer a unique supporters’ calendar that runs through the football season from August to July.
This distinctive initiative is organised by long-standing Co-operative member Graham Privett, who this year selected Walthew House as the nominated charity.
We are delighted to announce that half of the calendar’s profits, totalling £826, have been donated to Walthew House, helping to support their vital work within the local community.
Walthew House is a Stockport-based charity providing practical and emotional support for people living with sight or hearing loss. Their advocacy and information service helps individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, have sight loss, or experience dual sensory loss to access health and social care services on an equitable basis.
They also organise a series of weekly activities, including social drop-ins, craft groups, sensory sports and walking groups, singing days, and a youth club, helping to reduce isolation and promote wellbeing.
In addition, Walthew House operates a resource centre designed to support independence. The centre enables people with sight and/or hearing loss to learn about assistive equipment that can help them live more confidently and independently.
The Co-operative is delighted to support such an important local charity and would like to thank everyone who purchased a calendar and helped make this donation possible.
