Stockport County Supporters Co-operative

Surveys - Results

A big thank you to everyone who took part the Supporters’ Co-op Survey in February and March. A total of 234 people took part in the survey.

We feel that we have achieved a good cross section of supporters. Only 25% of people were members of the Co-op, and 60% of people go to all or almost all home games, around 10% of people taking the survey are truly exiled going to only away games or not going to games at all but still count COUNTY as being their club.

The majority of people are aware of the Supporters’ Co-op but around half the people who took the survey do not understand the objectives, aims and priorities of the Co-op. Take a look at the recent Stockport Express Article, have a look around the website or come and talk to us in the Insider Suite at home games to find out what we are trying to achieve and how we are doing it.

The Supporters’ Co-op are currently reviewing the results and discussing them with both the club and also the Stockport County Supporters’ Alliance. Detailed work programmes and actions will come out of the survey for the Club, the Supporters’ Co-op and the other Fans Group.

In terms of making the Supporters’ Co-op more attractive to members, the Co-op has already supported the making of a video by Reddish Vale Co-operative Trust at Reddish Vale Technology College, have a look at this on the website. More community projects are in the pipeline.

We will be soon introducing ‘Join Online’ to make joining and renewing easier, whilst keeping our presence in the Insider Suite so you can meet us on a match day.

One of the common themes was that the Supporters’ Groups should work closer together – this is already being achieved by way of the Supporters’ Alliance so that the Groups can pool resources where necessary and achieve great things. The upcoming “Edgeley Park Echo” and cricket game are just two of the things the Alliance is working on together – these wouldn’t be achieved without all the Supporters’ Groups Co-operating.
