Pure Radio Interview with Liver from "Your Town Your Team"
Your Town Your Team
26 October 2011
The Stockport County Supporters Co-operative has been busy since our AGM heralded the desire amongst various fan groups to work together and unify under one banner – in “County’s’ time of need. The banner that has been adopted is a refreshed campaign under “Your Town Your Team”.
In collaboration, our supporters will play a more active role in the
running of the Club, either by offering volunteer support, fund raising
or running the Club. All plans are consistent with our objectives at the
Co-op.
Proposals are to unfold and all members (or would be members) are
invited to join other supporters’ groups and the Co-op on Saturday 5th
November immediately after the match.
Former Manager, Jim Gannon has aligned himself with the cause and
comments: “We’re calling on every fan past and present to be a part of
building a bright future for County. There’s a role for everyone who is
willing or able to help restore the passion and pride of our club.”

County fans racing ahead...
18 October 2011
We are delighted to Report of the success of Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operative in the 5.8KM ‘Minithon’. We raced (actually you could run, walk or crawl) against participants from Ace Centre North West (Charity) and FC United of Manchester. Ashley Simpson, Graham Privett, Ian Brown and Adrian Stores did us proud raising £650 from the endeavours.
They were admirably supported along the route by Pauline Lawson and Ian Watts. The Event was opportune as two football club’s and their fans co-operated together towards a greater goal of fundraising. Completed, nicely with a trip to Chorlton Irish Club for beverages. (Photos)
It's not too late to sponsor our 'teams' endeavours - every donation does make a difference.
County Supporters' Co-op members to run walk or crawl for charity
25 September 2011
The Stockport County Supporters’ Co-operative (SCSC) have accepted a
challenge from FC United of Manchester (FCUM) to “Run, Walk or Crawl” a

West charity.
Ashley Simpson, the SCSC’s Acting Chair & Social Goals Director,
enthused “not only is this a great opportunity to raise money for a
local charity, it will also help us develop relations with FCUM and gain
insight into why they are one of the most successful supporters’
co-operatives in the UK”.
Ashley went on to say “we would like as many County supporters to join
in as possible, particularly junior hatters, and encourage those who are
unable to take part to sponsor those who are”.
All money raised is being shared between ACE Centre North and the
supporters’ co-operatives whose members are taking part.
Find out more, including how to
participate &/or sponsor County fans who are taking part.

County Players Tribute evening/SCAN launch event - What a night to remember
The launch of the Stockport County Appearance Number (SCAN) Scheme - what an evening it was! Over 100 guests, 29 volunteers, 45 SCAN Certificates presented and 321 County supporters in attendance.
The entire current squad of players gave up the early part of their Saturday evening - to a man. Thanks lads, we know that your Saturday evenings are precious. A special mention to Paul Turnbull (County’s youngest debutant) who stayed to present George Haigh (County’s oldest surviving player) with his certificate. Very fitting and a great climax to the evening. Another highlight was Peter Ward leading a chorus of the anthem.
Photographs of all the presentations made on the evening and since are available on the SCAN website and also on COWS.
