We are delighted The Spinning Top Bar are presenting our Co-Op Talking series. The Spinning Top Bar is located at 20 Wellington Road South on the A6 (in the same block which houses the Garrick Theatre and Intoto – in old money opposite the old Cannon cinema). After every home game The Spinning Top are very kindly donating 10% of all takings to the Guardian Account. This runs between 5 – 8 pm on Saturdays and until closing time on Tuesdays. This is an incredible gesture for which the Co-op are very grateful. The Spinning Top Bar has a great range of drinks on offer from cask ales, imported lager, cider, perry, wine as well as real coffee. They also host an eclectic mix of music and other entertainment – please check out their website for full listings.
C0-Op Talking 2:
Tuesday 30 August took us to the Spinning Top ( near the Garrick Theatre on the A6) for the second in our occasional series of conversation pieces.
Present were Coop Board Member Dave March bank and Mike Swann, the enterprising landlord of the Spinning Top , with whom we have a terrifically supportive arrangement. Our agreement with the ST substantially boosts the Guardian Account, based on County fans showing up on County match days at the real ale free house, to enjoy a pint in comfortable surroundings.
Discussions ranged through the extensive ST gig list and on to discuss and acclaim Cryptic Ales for their support with the launch of County themed beer `The Ghost’, and on to a final word on the Hatters Half Marathon and a massive thank you to Robinsons Brewery who have been so supportive of the race in its first two years.
Some information on the AGM on 17 November, and that was it for Coop Talking 2.
The audio file follows( 25 minutes only) so we hope you find this interesting.

Wednesday 3 August saw the Supporters Cooperative launch another initiative in the form of an informal discussion session entitled `Co-Op Talking’….the first in what we envisage being an occasional series.
Supporters Cooperative Chair Pete Towey and Vice Chair Dave March bank turned out with Ian Brown, with a remit to discuss the Guardian Account.
This is the result (you will need a suitable media player or web browser to support the streaming of this media) ……
Thanks for your continued support.
