Two events below including the annual Cavort and a Christmas Carol service. Firstly an appeal for the less fortunate:
Wellspring Warm Clothing Appeal
Initially we styled this a `Food Appeal’ but contact with the Wellspring told us that , whilst food donations are very welcome, the more urgent need, with outside overnight conditions so poor at present, is for donations of warm clothing- preferably as indicated in the Rucksack Project details on the wellspring website, but any donations of warm winter clothing would be greatly appreciated and sorely needed.
In this respect the Supporters Cooperative Cabin in the Cheadle End Car Park at Edgeley Park will be open and manned ready to receive donations before County’s match this Saturday 9 December against Spennymoor Town, between 1.15 and 2.40.
In addition, on Sunday 17 December, the day of the Stockport County Carol Concert (please see below), which starts at 3pm at Edgeley Park, the Cheadle End Cabin will again be open to receive donations from 2 pm until 4 pm.
Every time the Cooperative have made appeals of this nature in the past, the response from County fans and Stockport people in general has been simply fantastic.
The fun starts at 5.30 in the Spinning Top following County’s game with Spennymoor Town this Saturday 9 December, and hot food will be available from around 7 to 7.30.
Ex Players confirmed are , John Rutter , Tony Coyle, Mark Leigh, David Booth and Oshor Williams ,who will be at the Spinning Top from about 5.45pm .
We are still looking for presenters for John and Mark’s certificates. If anyone would like to do this place email email@example.com‘
With John, Tony, Mark, David and the brilliant Oshor Williams turning up trumps , and turning out, we can look forward to a great County evening, and afterwards, from 9pm you can catch the excellent `Ten Eyed Man’ on stage.
Entry to the Spinning Top is free- hope to see you there.
Stockport County Christmas Carol Concert.
Our participation in this year’s Stockport County Christmas Carol Concert, was confirmed with the added fact that we would again be supplying a quantity of mince pies, which went down well last year. As well as enjoying the support of the Stockport County Club, the Supporters Cooperative, and Stockport family church.org.uk, the event is designed to support the Wellspring, and in this respect the Cooperative will ensure that the Cheadle End Cabin is open to allow people to donate to our Wellspring Appeal. So..the date for this is Sunday 17 December .The event starts at 3pm , but Wellspring donations can be left at the cabin from 2pm.
