Social GOALS
Stockport County Supporters Co-operative is committed to the creation
of partnerships and collaborations, to strengthen the bonds between the
Club and the community which it serves, and to represent the interests
of the community in the running of the Club. Our Social Goals video was
commissioned by Reddish Vale Co-operative Trust School who found our
vision for the borough of Stockport, inspirational.
This video earmarks the launch of our Social Goals agenda. The aims of
our agenda are; to create progressive cohesive projects aimed at
unifying and uniting the borough of Stockport behind its football club,
Emphasising community integration and the need for integration of the
community- internally within the County community and externally,
Emphasising civic pride throughout the borough, through aiming to bring
a number of community stakeholders together to provide better
opportunities and services throughout the borough of Stockport.
Our video highlights that there is a viable, long term, sustainable
answer to community based issues - Co-operation. By working together we
work with mutual stakeholders to create an alternative, an alternative
vision which aims to have a positive impact on radically transforming
people’s lives across the borough of Stockport. We believe this can be
achieved through using our organisation as a vehicle for change.
By changing the hearts and minds of Stopfordians through active
community engagement, participation and innovation. A subsequent
transformation of the social fabric will ensue-initiated by us the fans,
for the mutual benefit of our club and our community.
But we need YOU…your hearts and minds to make this happen. Why don’t you
get involved and change the status quo? Change your football club.
Change the borough you live in. To make Stockport successful.
