Supporters' Co-operative Accounts:
The rules of the Supporters' Co-operative require accounts to be produced every year which are either 'audited' or 'inspected'.
An audit is a detailed financial inspection of all the records of the Co-op and is a requirement for all companies in the UK with an income of around £6m or higher.
The Board of the Co-operative have arranged for the accounts to be 'inspected' this is a detailed review of the accounts by auditors, without the 'red tape' that a full audit requires.
At the Annual General Meeting the members of the society vote as to whether the accounts are audited or inspected.
