Annual and Special Meetings
Annual and Special meetings give members of the Co-operative the right to vote on particular matters, including appointment of auditors and appointment of board members.
The rules of the Co-operative detail how Annual and Special Meetings work.
2011 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The 2011 Annual General Meeting of the Stockport County Supporters’ Society Ltd will be held at The Railway Club, 263 Edgeley Road, Stockport SK3 0TR at 7.30pm on Thursday, 13 October 2011. The agenda is enclosed.
The Board are considering the adoption of new Society Rules drawn up by Supporters Direct to strengthen our position as a Community Benefit Society. A summary of the most significant changes is enclosed. We have decided, rather than asking you to vote on these immediately, to take this opportunity to discuss the changes and ask for your approval in principle. A Special General Meeting will still be required when we have worked out all the legal details.
If you are recorded as a member on 31 July 2011 and are still in membership, you are eligible to vote in the AGM. Lapsed memberships can be renewed on the night. If you are unable to attend the AGM, you are welcome to return the enclosed proxy / voting form. The formal AGM will be followed by an informal meeting to discuss the Co-operative's priorities for 2012. We need to know your views if we are to represent you and act for you.
